Work/Life Balance
'The amount of time you spend doing your job compared with the amount of time you spend with your family and doing things you enjoy'.
Work/Life balance has become an increasingly discussed topic, especially over the last 10 years. As society puts more demands and pressure onto our working and personal lives, it's no wonder why more people are finding it a problem area of their lives and turning more to professionals to help deal with the issues.
It is estimated that nearly 40% of employees will face some form of mental related illness associated with the imbalance of work and home life - that's staggering!
Nearly two thirds of employees in the UK have experienced a negative effect on their personal life, including lack of personal development, physical and mental health problems, poor relationships and poor home life. The more you spend working, the more you will spend worrying and thinking about it.
One of my key coaching strengths is Work/Life Balance. Many of my clients have been Teachers who are all dedicated, but have found that the demands that have been forced upon them in the Education sector have made a huge negative impact on their lives; they simply don't know how to manage.
I have been very successful in designing and implementing Work/Life Balance workshops for the Education Sector and in the Private Sector - as a guest speaker at company development days. This can all be referenced in my blog.
