About me
I felt that in this section I would use the dialogue from a recent interview to help you understand a little more about me:

Q - Have you ever been coached?
A - Yes, I have. It took me a long time to consider coaching - but that's evidence enough why I needed it really. 'I knew what I had to do, but didn't do what I knew.' I would procrastinate about everything.
Subconsciously, I would find every excuse under the sun not to do things to help me achieve my goals, and at the same time find ways to elay my guilt so that I didn't feel so bad that I didn't do it. This however, was a temporary fix and it would get more difficult to come up with reasons (excuses). These thoughts then became my 'automatic pilot' and from there it became a downward spiral leading to more agitation and unhappiness. At this point I was only accountable to myself. I've had some very tough battles over the last decade and still battles I have to deal with now.
Q - How did it benefit you?
A - I didn't realise how much limitation I was putting on myself. Your inner voice is such a powerful component of the human mind that works away into your subconscious. My coach worked several approaches and models, and when I responded to her it felt like two of me were speaking. I was aware that a lot of my negative talk was coming from my emotions and much of my positive responses were derived from fact.
She made me realise that a lot of my fear was based on unrealistic outcomes. You would here me say 'What if it didn't work out? What if it all went wrong?' She would ask me to tell her what it would look like, if that were the case. We would look together at where these fears came from. I soon realised that personal growth is based on risk and failures. If you don't take risks and fail you never learn and therefore you never grow; many people go through life thinking the opposite.
Q - How do you feel you have changed as a person and how do you maintain those changes?
A - I feel more energised and 'do not put anything off I can do today'. Yeah, sure I still wake up sometimes and feel that perhaps I should re-arrange my schedule (says my inner voice), but it doesn't take long before I snap out of it and get going; It's kind of a learnt behaviour that comes with practice. Getting involved in life coaching is a dedicated process of development, it's not like being hypnotised. You've got to believe in the discipline and be focussed in your approach.
Q - Is hiring a coach a good investment?
A - As they say - 'You can't put a price on happiness'. Strength of mind and contentment is very tangible, which is a long-term investment. I think it's much more important than spending five times as much on a consumer durable to get a few days fulfillment, then for that feeling to wain. Just take a trip to your local city centre on a Saturday afternoon and observe..
Q - Who is your client base?
A - I work with people of all roles and from all walks of life: young professionals, teachers, business managers, youths and children to name but a few.
Q - Thank you for the insight! Finally, sorry for any possible cliches, but do you have any motivational quotes that you live by?
A - Well:
'Feel the fear and do it anyway'. - Susan Jeffers.
'You're never going anywhere unless you leave'. - Henry Rollins.
'When you start to doubt yourself the real world will eat you alive'. - Henry Rollins.
'Change the strategy, not the goal!' - Me.
